Copia Investment Partners, April 2019 - Appointments

Multi boutique fund manager Copia Investment Partners has appointed Sam Harris as Distribution Manager in its Sydney office, reporting to General Manager Distribution John Clothier.

Sam has over 15 years’ experience in the wealth management industry. Prior to joining Copia, Sam spent over 8 years at Investors Mutual Ltd, where he was most recently Relationship Manager National Groups. Sam has also held roles at a number of organisations including Ord Minnett, Instreet Investments, HFA Asset Management and ING in a range of investment and advice areas.

Welcoming Sam’s appointment, John said “We’re delighted to have Sam join our team as we seek to build Copia’s footprint with Australian financial advice groups. Sam’s strong network relationships will assist in our efforts to become a premium provider of solutions in the Australian multi-boutique space”.

Copia is an Australian investment distribution and support company with four partner fund managers in its stable: OC (Australian Small Caps), Ralton (Separately Managed Accounts), Vertium (Equity Income) and Chester (High Conviction Australian Equities).

Mr Clothier added: “In the past five months Copia has successfully recruited a highly-experienced team that we believe is more aligned with the changing structure of our intermediary and advice market. As a result individual team members need to be equipped with the skills to manage broader remits and higher accountabilities.”

Sam’s appointment follows the recent hiring of Jude Fernandez, Mani Papakonstantinos and Matt Roberts as Distribution Managers, as well as Anthony Pesutto as General Manager Marketing.
