Copia Investment Partners has appointed Anthony Pesutto as General Manager Marketing in its Melbourne office, reporting to Chief Operating Officer Sam Cole. Anthony will be responsible for the marketing and communications of the multi boutique fund manager and its four investment partners, OC, Ralton, Vertium and Chester.

Anthony has over 22 years’ experience in the funds management industry. Prior to joining Copia, Anthony headed up Zenith’s marketing and communications function, and prior to that, was head of marketing at Legg Mason. Anthony also has held both marketing and investment research roles at Mercer and Lonsec.

Welcoming Anthony’s appointment, Sam Cole said “We’re delighted to have someone of Anthony’s calibre join our team. Anthony will help build Copia’s profile and distribution footprint to Australian financial planners as we embark on our next phase of growth.”

Anthony’s appointment follows the recent hiring of Distribution Manager Mani Papakonstantinos in December 2018.

Multi boutique fund manager Copia Investment Partners has appointed Mani Papakonstantinos to the role of Distribution Manager covering Victoria and Western Australia, as it continues to build its business in Australia.

Mani Papakonstantinos has over 13 years’ experience in the investment industry with roles spanning across distribution, research, and advice. Prior to joining Copia Investment Partners, Mani worked as a Distribution Manager at SG Hiscock & Company servicing the retail and institutional space. He has also held roles at Equity Trustees as a Key Account Manager and AMP as an Investment Research Manager.

Copia Investment Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Loveday to the board as a non-executive director. The appointment of Loveday follows a string of announcements from the multi-boutique manager, which is gearing up for growth.

Loveday – The appointment of Loveday to Copia’s board strengthens its corporate governance, balance and independence. Loveday has been CEO of two funds management businesses and has held senior executive positions in banking, institutional stockbroking, asset consulting and investor relations. He served as chairman of Bennelong Funds Management Ltd from 2010 to 2014 and is a fellow of the Australian Institution of Company Directors.

Voskresensky, new CFO – Loveday’s appointment follows a busy start to 2018 with the appointment of Michael Voskresensky to chief financial officer. Voskresensky joined from Mutual Trust where he was general manager, finance.

Unit registry – Copia has also transitioned the unit registry of its managed funds to OneVue, Australia’s largest managed fund administration platform, after incumbent unit registry provider, NAB Asset Servicing, struck a deal with OneVue.

Vertium Asset Management – Copia’s newest fund (Vertium Equity Income Fund) has in the past few months been added to several platforms (BT Wrap, BT Panorama, Hub24 and FirstWrap) and last year also received a recommended rating from Lonsec. The fund is attracting significant retail and institutional interest, particularly in light of volatility returning to market in February 2018.
